<p>The BCS was created to give us the next best thing to a playoff&#8230; number 1 versus number 2.  But some years there is no clear cut numbers 1 &#038; 2.  This year is shaping up to be one of those years.  Just like there is no clear front runner for the Heisman Trophy this year, no two teams have clearly distinguished themselves as being deserving of the title game above all others.</p>
